1. Exterior Chimney Inspection

We perform a detailed visual inspection of the exterior chimney structure. Where practical and safe, we use a drone inspection to obtain a close-up view of areas that are difficult to see safely from the ground or roof.

Our drone-assisted exterior inspection allows us to safely obtain detailed visual information of hard-to-reach areas of the chimney without relying only on a view from the ground.

Drone inspection is an additional visual tool — it does not replace the required hands-on and internal inspection where applicable.

What is a Level 2 chimney inspection?

A Level 2 inspection is a comprehensive evaluation of the accessible chimney and fireplace system. In addition to the exterior visual inspection performed in a Level 1 inspection, it includes an internal camera inspection of the flue and liner, along with evaluation of the firebox, smoke chamber, and damper.

Does the drone inspection replace the internal inspection?

No. The drone inspection is an additional visual tool used for exterior areas that are difficult to see safely from the ground. It does not replace the required hands-on and internal flue/liner camera inspection.

Is every deposit inside my chimney dangerous?

No. Some buildup is normal. During your inspection we document the level and type of deposits and let you know clearly whether cleaning or further evaluation is recommended.

What do the condition labels in my report mean?

Each area we inspect is labeled Good Condition, Monitor / Maintenance Recommended, Repair Recommended, or Safety Concern, so you can quickly understand priority at a glance.
